1st SOS, 353rd SOMXS work together to execute formation flight

A U.S. Air Force MC-130H Combat Talon II from the 1st Special Operations Squadron sits on the Kadena Air Base, Japan, flight line before takeoff for a 4-aircraft formation flight May 14, 2015. The 1st Special Operations Squadron operates the MC-130H providing infiltration, exfiltration, and resupply of special operations forces and equipment in hostile or denied territory. By conducting formation flight, aircrews and maintainers test and validate their ability to efficiently generate aircraft and to quickly infiltrate and exfiltrate large numbers of ground forces.
