Gold Thunder 2.0 prepares special tactics combat mission support team for real world operations
Two Gold Team members from the 320th Special Tactics Squadron Gold Flight, receive all-terrain vehicle qualification training during exercise Gold Thunder 2.0 at Camp Hansen, Japan, June 23, 2015. It is necessary for members to be able to cover more ground on the quad when securing the area. Gold Thunder 2.0 is a humanitarian assistance/disaster relief scenario exercise put together to train the combat mission support personnel in land and water navigation, establishing a special tactics operations center and a forward operating logistics hub along with other skills such as all-terrain vehicle qualification training, Krav Maga training and exfiltration capabilities with rotary wing aircraft.
