Prior to a military freefall jump, an Airman assigned to the 320th Special Tactics Squadron checks for visual indicators of a drop zone at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea while standing on the back ramp of an MC-130J Commando II aircraft assigned to the 1st Special Operations Squadron, July 23, 2024. A ROK Air Force MC-130K aircraft and Korean special operations personnel also participated in the combined training event, demonstrating both nations’ ability to conduct combined freefall operations. Air Force Special Operations Command personnel regularly participate in training in the Indo-Pacific region to ensure multinational relations and readiness to respond to a variety of scenarios.
