SOG master sergeant selected for promotion

Master Sgt. Claus Peris from the 353rd Special Operations Maintenance Squadron was selected for promotion to senior master sergeant here March 8.

Air Force officials selected more than 1,700 of 12,351 eligible master sergeants for promotion to senior master sergeant for a selection rate of 13.78 percent.

The average score for those selected was 670.44, with an average time in grade of 4.12 years and an average time in service of 19.27 years. The average score was based on the following point averages: 134.99 for enlisted performance reports, 20.66 for decorations, 70.62 for the Air Force supervisory exam and 392.56 board score.

Those selected for senior master sergeant will be promoted according to their promotion sequence number beginning in April 2012.
