SOG Airmen selected for master sergeant Published May 31, 2010 KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- Air Force officials recently selected 20 technical sergeants assigned to the 353rd Special Operations Group for promotion to master sergeant May 27. The selectees are: 353rd Special Operations Group James Lamont Robert Mackey Jr. Larry Morgan Jr. Christopher Nugent Philip Vaughn Brian Williams Eddie Ybarra 320 Special Tactics Squadron Michael Anderson William Reisner Keith Witherspoon 353rd Maintenance Squadron Jason Blehm Michael Martin Ovie Reeves 353rd Operations Support Squadron Francisco Fernandez-Parejo Leamada Glover Tammy List Jerome Mack Michael Steele Gregory Stout Myron Ward Air Force officials selected 5,424 of 21,829 eligible technical sergeants for promotion to master sergeant for a selection rate of 24.85 percent. The selection rate for the 353rd SOG was 27 percent. The average score for those selected was 341.18, with an average time in grade of 4.49 years and an average time in service of 15.88 years. The average score was based on the following point averages: 134.27 for enlisted performance reports, 11.40 for decorations, 79.69 for the promotion fitness examination and 63.59 for the specialty knowledge test. Those selected for master sergeant will be promoted according to their promotion sequence number beginning in August 2010.
