353rd Special Operations Group completes Exercise Teak Net 16-1
A loadmaster at the 1st Special Operations Squadron, works with a member from the Royal New Zealand Air Force Force to load a heavy equipment platform for an air drop June 20, 2016. Members from the 353rd Special Operations Group participated in Exercise Teak Net June 12 through June 30 in Whenuapai, New Zealand. During the exercise, members from both the New Zealand Defense Force and U.S. Air Force worked together to conduct personnel and equipment air drops while exchanging new techniques. 1st SOS holds change of command

A pararescueman from the 320th Special Tactics Squadron pays his respects to the crew and passengers of Stray 59 from a U.S. Air Force MC-130H Combat Talon II off the coast of the Philippines Feb. 26, 2016. The Stray 59 memorial flight is conducted annually to honor those who were lost 35 years ago when a 1st SOS MC-130E, call sign STRAY 59, crashed during an exercise killing eight crew members and 15 passengers.
